Meeting Cezanne

When Yannick is sent to stay with his Aunt Mathilde in the South of France, he cannot believe his luck. If the paintings of his mother’s beloved Cezanne are to be believed, surely Provence is paradise itself. So begins an idyllic month for the young boy. By day he roams the rolling hills and valleys of Aix-en-Provence. At night, he helps out at his aunt’s bustling village inn. All the while, he dreams about his beautiful cousin Amandine, feeling he has come to the most wonderful place in the world. But Yannick’s joy is shattered when he accidentally destroys a precious drawing by Cezanne himself. As he tries to put things right, he makes the most surprising discovery…
